This book sat on the desk in my bedroom for approximately a week before I finally opened it. When I finally opened it and start reading it, I asked myself was I really ready to hear what Mr. Harvey had to say? From addressing the DNA of manhood, to explaining how men need to both feel and be validated by their significant others, I found that this book can help a lot of women from making the mistakes directly pointed out in this book with men, and can also assist women who have already made some not so good... more info
Fast, interesting, and funny:
I'm not a big fan of Steve Harvey, but this book had great reviews on many lists. I'm a fan of ELLEN, Steve was on and poked fun at his life and how to came to write this book. Its entertaining and yet quite informative on the "silly" issues of relationships. Good purchase!
The problem with the Y chromosome:
I was disgusted by most of the advice in this book. I was shocked by his misogynistic views on love and marriage. It's one thing to help a man feel like a man, but what about a woman's wants and needs? "Give up Scuba diving honey- I don't like you doing it. Oh and if you don't have sex like a horny teenager I will find someone else who will- and that is your fault" I was just so disappointed by this book.
