Pretty good -basic coverage:
I have had three text books which cover the material in this book and it is the most intelligible. I can't say that I really enjoyed it, but there is some good material and it is a pretty easy read without being uselessly lightweight.
well organized:
I used this book for class. The text is very well organized with bolded headings for each section in every chapter. Each chapter is broken down into easy to understand sections.
Has Some Great Education References but Hard to Find Topics in the Index:
I kept this book because it has some great educational references that I will be able to use in my doctoral program, but I am currently writing an instructional design assessment paper & can't easily find any subject matter topics in the index. That makes for some real frustation. Would I buy the book again? Yes, because I will be able to use it for theory courses, but as a general reference text no. Carol P. Doctoral Student
