You might after this. Turn it into a creative as well as left-brain task. There are many ideas in here that have taken my writing to a whole new level,and if applied by others should do the same. Now my favorite book on revision.

I've read several books about editing, style, and revision techniques and without a doubt this is the best I've come across so far. It covers an extensive range of topics, goes straight to the point, and most importantly presents them in a helpful, supportive manner.
