Burned-out true-crime writer Scotty Scotland has lost his wife, been ordered by his doctor to give up caffeine, and according to his latest review, should stop writing, too. He spends his days doing nothing. But, when his best friend, Molly, a nationally syndicated advice columnists is murdered, Scotty must get out of his pajamas and into action to find the killer.

Baffled more haven't read this one:

Ironically, this book has been on my shelf for a few years and I decided to read it while on vacation. Although I related to many of the references because I've lived in Boston, I don't think you need that to enjoy this book. This was a very readable, funny and enjoyable book. It didn't pretend to be anything more. A definite recommendation.

Baffledin Boston:

Gary Provost writes an easy to get into mystery that takes place, as the title says, in Boston. The word play is reminiscent of Parker's Spencer. The plot of the hero's close friend being a possible murder victim starts the story and travels down a somewhat predictable road. If your from the Boston or New England area, many of the sights and locations in this book will strike a chord. While the ending may be predictable, the story that takes you there is an enjoyable one.
