Excellent book:
Well written and thorough. I learned a lot of things that I would not have known had I just relied on the Adobe manual and books.

Worthless:
I was hoping for at least a few templates in the CD part of the book. Templates allow one to explore the funcionality of the program and expand on one's knowledge, if any. I was very dissapointed. There are NO TEMPLATES IN THIS BOOK!

I have bought and read dozens of computer books for various programs. Nobody does it like Nigel! I actually read this manual cover to cover and couldn't put it down. His writing is personable and witty, his organization is "intuitively correct" (just as you are thinking a question, he gives you the answer), and his tips and tactics are SO HELPFUL! PageMaker was very intimidating to me because I was used to amateur programs that do most functions automatically. No offense to Aldus, but their manual made... more info
