Tbis is helpful for about five minutes. Then you realize that most of this information is more up to date and available online for free.

Best Press Release book I've seen:

This is the best book on writing press releases I've seen. I have written many press releases in my job over the years and this book is an excellent guide. I recommend to everyone.

If you're thinking of purchasing this title, do it! I studied it over the course of one week. The next week, I drafted my news releases. The third week, I sent them out to 35 newspapers and two of them picked up the story. This is a hit rate of almost 10% and I know I wouldn't have achieved it without the principles I learned in this book. And by the way, this was the first news release I'd ever written. This book WILL teach you what you need to know.

Did it give me insight on what an editor may be thinking when I write? Absolutely.
The examples are very to the point on what format to do and not to do. Very down to earth, a lot of examples, pretty well written. It covers a range of examples, from announcements for retirement parties to press releases for products.
