A "Must-digest" for the Plot-analyst Screenwriter:

PLOTS UNLIMITED is screenwriter's library staple. It is another work of art from the creative mind of Tom B. Sawyer. His program-- Storybase-- is recommended, too, for getting through writer's block with characterization and conflict.

Good . . . for the novice.:

I bought this book because i was in the middle of writing another novel and was plumb out of ideas to fill in them pesky plot-hole connections. I was hoping for it to spark some mental flow, but as i came to discover this book is purely for those who are beginning with absolutely no idea of what they intend to write about.
There are some hokey things it suggests, but if you have any creative talent at all there are definately ways to twist your suggested 'investigative reporter' to another career line... more info

Hard to understand:

This book is probably very good in many ways, but it is hard to read with all the codes and references and cross sections. I frankly don't have the time. There must be a better way to write a book like this.

After reading some of the reviews here on Amazon and wondering if I might've made a mistake, I'm glad that I did pick up this book.
Now for those of you who think this book is going to put the perfect story in your head, stop reading right here and abandon ship. Sure, it'll help you mix and match possible (keyword: POSSIBLE) ideas.
In the end, you have to have some creativity of your own to take what you've gotten out of the book and make it something that is truly your own.
