Every household in America should be reading this to their preschoolers instead of afternoon TV.An appreciation for poetry taught young can only improve a child.This is divided into several parts nursery rythmes,story poems etc.,and the editor gives you a brief comment before each poem.He even ask you to keep the book on the coffee table for easy access. It was something about the cover that pulled me to this one. The idyllic countryside image suggested an escape to a place I'd like to be. These "All-Time Favorites" actually took me to a great place . . . to when my mom used to share them with me, more than three decades ago.
