Got me through my dissertation...: I found this book more helpful than any dissertation-writing manual, and will rely on it for future projects beyond the PhD. Wolcott's honest and funny writing style makes you feel like a friend, and his advice is truly useful. The book is a great motivator as well, particularly during those frustrating stages of writing/revising. I highly recommend this book to anyone sitting on a mound of qualitative data who needs a bit of companionship along the way. Writing Up Qualitative Research: This book has been very helpful in determining where to start and steps to make for completing a qualitative research project. It offers suggestions of "how to" and provides application tips that make a sometimes seemingly overwhelming project manageable.
