A great book that makes you want to read more. I found this book to be quite inspiring and at the end of each chapter was motivated to do some creative writing of my own.
I have not taken a formal MFA course and had wondered if this book would lull me to sleep and end up collecting dust on my reference book shelf. I am happy to say that was not the case and I feel the money I spent on this book was well worth it!

This is the kind of creative writing textbook you'll keep pulling off the shelf to remind yourself of what you should be doing and probably aren't. Writing texts don't necessarily need page after page of idealistic advice. Just get me to the craft, the exercises and cover as many topics as possible. This is reference material for a good writing collection.
