Yes it has a LOT of listings, but the web has even more - an endless supply of sources where images can be submitted and put up for sale. If you want to take the long way to begin selling, get this book and follow its advice to cold call agencies and send porfolios. But, if you want the shortcut, just put your work out there on the web. You will get a lot more exposure on online stock photo agencies like shutterpoint and such. If you can't make back your $20 just from the tips alone in this book, then you need to find another business to go into. Even the time alone that it would save you doing the research yourself makes this book worth it. One of the cheapest business investments you can make.
