Don't waste your money - substandard book:
I used to hold Writer's Market in high regard - no more. It's like nobody edited this work. Many entries end mid-sentence. There are countless typos. The index is off by several pages and entries aren't accurate (for example, some of the children's book publishers aren't included in the index but they're in the book). Writer's Market books:
I have found each yearly edition of this book to be super helpful for those of us who write professionally, or for people looking to get into the freelance writing business. I highly recommend Writer's Market books.

Great Resource!:
For those people who are starting out in writing, this book is a great resource. Accomplished writers may know about the inside markets and how/where to query sources, but new writers need the guidance from this book. Essentially, it delivers. I've used the Writer's Market books since college, and I have never been let down. I gave this book as a gift to a new author, and he is appreciative of the wealth of useful information.
